The umbrella, when it rains - There is no umbrella. They just run. If Ebumi is feeling nice, he’ll give Gion his coat to cover his head with, but most likely not.

The popcorn at the cinema - Gion, but Ebumi eats most of it.

The baby, when it cries - Gion, mostly. He hates to hear the baby cry, so he picks the baby up immediately. Ebumi doesn’t know what to do, so he always says ‘we have to let the baby cry it out right? someone told me thats what we’re supposed to do…”

The ice cream cone, when they share - Ebumi, because he knows Gion is gonna drop it on the ground. Or all over the both of them.

The remote, when they sit down to watch a movie - Ebumi. He always has the remote. He’s controlling in the living room.

The basket, when they go shopping - Ebumi. He teases Gion by saying he doubts Gion could see over the handlebar of the basket.

The door, on dates - Gion. What a little gentleman!

The other’s hand, most often - Gion. He’s not shy about PDA, but Ebumi tends to avoid and brush it off. At least until theyre in private.

Their breath, upon seeing the other on their wedding day - Ebumi nearly passes out because he’s holding his breath, trying not to tear up.

Will Ebumi ever say that he kind of misses Gion’s attention after he decides he wants to be a flanker instead of a wing? No, but its true. He kind of gets jealous, and its really pathetic (and he knows it) so he kinda just pushes it out of his head as meaning nothing and moves on.

But Gion doesn’t stop bugging him! Even if Gion doesn’t have any other reason to talk to him, he still does.  And Ebu cant bring himself to be irritated, even if he pretends to be.

Ebu realizes his feelings first and he hates it. He tried to pretend like he hadn’t pinned down the reason he felt jealous when Gion started hounding after Kasuga and Hyosu instead, but ooooh jealousy is such a sour feeling that’s hard to ignore.

Ebu always finds ways to get Gion’s attention, even if its negative attention (AKA Ebu can’t stop picking on Gion because if Gion is shouting at him, at least he’s not fawning over another one of their teammates).

When Ebu eventually asks him to hang out and go on a date, he’s super vague about it, and Gion doesn’t realize it was a date until like 3 weeks later, after he’s been on like 4 more dates with Ebu. Ebu needs to do a better job of establishing the relationship,

It’s the same when they eventually start dating too.  Ebu asks him to date and be boyfriends, but he doesn’t lay out his intentions clearly enough to follow it, so they’ve been officially together for a good couple weeks before GIon realizes whats happened and tries to clarify.

Their relationship doesn’t change too much after they get together. They still bicker, Ebu still tries to get Gion’s attention. They just hang out together alot more, and Ebu’s more physically affectionate as his way of ‘claiming’ Gion.

Ebu is like a possessive cat circling his favorite toy and swatting anyone that gets too close away.

3. - Are they open about their relationship? How do they feel about public displays of affection?

They’re weird about their relationship. They don’t tell anyone, but they also don’t try to hide it.  But that’s partially because they take a really long time to define their relationship.  They aren’t sure what they are for a while, so they don’t know what to tell people. 

Gion is more open with PDA than Ebumi is, so as a result they don’t really engage in PDA that much because Ebumi shuts him down. Holding hands is usually as far as they go, but only if Ebumi thinks people aren’t paying attention. Ebu’s not shy or ashamed, but he just doesn’t want people seeing him in love, so he just tries to be too tough and macho.

13.  What do they do for fun? Do they have a favorite activity or do they like to switch things up?

They’re creatures of habit mostly because neither of them are very creative. Rugby games on TV, maybe they go to see a game if they can afford it. Movies, video games, etc, etc. Gion is down for whatever, so if Ebumi asks him to do something, he always says yes, even if it’s the same thing over. and over.

23. How do they hug? Kiss? Tease? Flirt? Comfort?

Lots and lots of side hugs, because Ebumi likes to make Gion feel short, and nothing makes him feel shorter than a side hug. Kisses are whatever they feel like at the time, from kick pecks to say hello or goodbye, to deep makeout sessions, but they very rarely stray from the mouth. No cheek kisses or forehead kisses between these two. Ebumi’s the only one that tries to flirt, and its rarely successful because Gion takes his innuendos literally.  Gion is too straightforward to flirt, and would rather just be honest with his feelings. 

Comfort is something they aren’t super good at. Ebumi usually just needs space when he’s upset, but Gion just keeps trying to be with him, cheer him up, because when he’s upset, he wants to be with people.  Ebumi’s just too gruff when comforting Gion.

38.  What are they like in the bedroom? Any kinks/fetishes/turn-ons? Anything they won’t do?

They’re really rushed in the bedroom. And rough. Because its always a wrestling match to see who’s going to top. Ebumi usually wins just because he’s bigger, but he never takes it just lying down.  He probably lets Ebumi top him the first time they have sex. Just because he assumes Ebumi will know more of what he’s doing. But the second time, he wants to try.  They don’t really have any specific kinks because they’re both so straight forward, and Gion will try anything once if it was suggested. But Ebumi doesn’t really like bondage or sensory deprivation. It’s too much work and he doesn’t like not being in control.

39. Who initiated the relationship? Who kissed who first?  When did they realize they were in love?

Ebumi probably initiated the relationship, because if it was up to Gion, they’d never get together. Not that Gion doesn’t like him too, but Gion just assumed they were really good friends even if his feelings felt different that his feelings for his other friends.  Gion probably kisses Ebumi first though, sooner than Ebumi expected, because Gion’s train of thought is just ‘this is what you do when you’re dating, right?’

-who cries when someone dies in a movie - neither. Honestly, they probably wouldn’t be watching a movie in the first place that has emotional death scenes. No one cries to action movies.

-who wears the ugly holiday garb - Gion probably. He likes the oversized ugly sweaters with tassels.

-who pays for the meals - they probably split meals from the beginning, because they both had such appetites that it would be unfair to have one person pay for it all. Plus, all of their first dates weren’t really “dates” according to them, so they didn’t want to do anything that seemed like a date (even if they were touching pinkies in the movie they went to see after dinner)

-who slams the oven door and who plays the trombone - Ebumi trombone, Gion oven door.

-who brings home stray animals - Gion. He has a particular penchant for turtles and dogs.  They kept the first dog, but Ebumi made him get rid of the rest.

-who leaves the bathroom door open - they probably both do to an extent. Ebumi’s the worst about it because he got used to essentially living by himself for a while, and just forgets sometimes.

-who tells the ‘dad jokes’ - Neither do it intentionally. Gion does it on accident because he’s repeating something his dad or brother said (dad joke central)

-who wants kids more - Gion probably. Neither are desperate for kids, but Gion probably gets to a point of ‘awe, babies’ especially if their friends have them. Eventually. Ebumi worries about fucking a kid up.
