do you think shin’s necklace has more significance than just a house key? if he wasn’t wearing it in his death cg but minutes before when he removed the collar
I know it's a popular thing in fanon, but I highly doubt that his key was used to unlock his collar. We've basically seen these things the whole way around, and there's no way it could be used to unlock them. There's no evidence of it having a hole, the key is too big even if there was one, and even if it did have one there's no way Asunaro would leave such an easy way to get it off.
In all likelyhood, it was a renderring error on Nankidai's part, or the necklace simply fell off at some point when he took off the collar and scarf. I highly doubt it's significant to the death game because if it was, we would've gotten a clue by this point. Sure there's the whole thing with the first trial keys, but there's no way he would've gotten his necklace from that and not know its significance or pass down that knowledge to Kanna should he die.
So really in the end it's just a bad fashion statement.
Do you think Shin is Ace? He seems so Ace coded to me...
First I'm going to clarify here that right now, I'm going to answer this question as if you're asking me if I think he's canonically ace/ace coded. I will clarify when I think of something as a headcanon.
So since you don't really offer any source of evidence or reasoning, I'm going to assume your evidence/reasoning is based off text and dialogue in the game. He doesn't show any sort of affection or romantic interest in anyone, and if I remember correctly, he doesn't mention sex or anything whatsoever. But my brother in Christ, unless you're Nao, you're not going to be particularly horny in a death game.
Additionally, I think it's a bit weird to single him out as ace. Don't get me wrong, you're entitled to whatever headcanon you want, I support headcanons a whole lot! But canonically, there's zero evidence that he's ace or ace coded. I've seen people push the hc of him being ace, and it being sort of a fanon wide acceptance of this, because he's fairly autistic coded. Which, while I perfectly get why, seems a bit... weird to me. Stereotypical, even.
Don't get me wrong, I understand that a lot of autistics are asexual and that autism is heavily associated with sexual deviancy. However, this also goes both ways. There are also a lot of autistics who are hyper sexual as well. Just as autism is a spectrum, so is sexuality and libido. Of course though we don't have any evidence that supports either him being ace/ace coded or being sexual. But I feel like it's important to mention this, as I know him being ace is a very popular headcanon.
Back to the main question, I don't think he's ace or ace coded canonically. You wouldn't be technically wrong to assume he is because it's the same as assuming he's sexual, since there's no evidence they'd essentially both be headcanons.
And to answer if I headcanon him as ace/ace coded, no I don't. I think he's hyper sexual.
