G. Augustus Gourmandghast, whose tongue is silver and clever, whose teeth are sharper than diamonds, and whose favourite time is tea time. This beguiling devil has an insatiable appetite, for more than just power or food. He is world renowned as a jewel thief (one among many of the devil's enterprising careers, as Gus stirs his long fingers in many, many pots, so to speak!) who eats the gemstones he steals. His favourite gems to dine on are rubies. He cries sapphires. If you can get a heart as cold as his to shed a tear these days, that is. He knows what they're worth, and if you're the reason he sheds them, or if you cross him badly enough, he will eat you from head to foot. But, won't swallow you whole (he can eat anything, and can swallow a great many things without chewing -- or pause!), not at all. He'll savour you -- bite by bite! - from the toes on up. Luckily, it is a very messy business, and he'd truly hate to ruin his clothes for anything less than they're worth. Luckily, he values the actions of others less than that.
