Curious, does SA1s dialogue font have a name?
Yep! It’s called Impress.
There’s two more fonts for dialogue as well:
Comic Sans is used for French/German/Spanish text, since Impress doesn’t have all the characters those languages use.
Rodin Bold (the font used for Japanese mission objectives, and extra bold for title cards) is used for all subs in the PC/later ports. It’s primarily a Japanese font though, which is why the English subs look more generic in those versions.

Rebuild movies or the original series?
The original! Starting with rebuild is BAD... Unless its the first one since I guess its basically just the first six episodes in HD, except for the slight changes to the world from EoE
