Easy bread rolls
I am mad in love making bread and still in love. It is really therapeutic and rewarding. Â I don't mind to try many recipes of bread.Â
If you have never made bread before here is a great recipe for you. Â It's a simple and easy recipe. You have to try hard to mess it up. I use this recipe many times. It is my basic recipe. You can create lots of other bread from this simple recipe.
Ingredients:
2.5 teaspoon instant yeast
3 1/2-4 1/2 cups white bread flour (I use normal plain flour mix with wholemeal flour)Â
3 tablespoons sugar (you can reduce it if you like, I usually use only 1 tablespoon)
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup boiling water
50 gram butter melted, cool down
Directions:
In a small bowl, mix milk with water. Add sugar, yeast, and butter. Stir until yeast is dissolved and set aside for 10 minutes or until yeast has foamed up a bit.
In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Use the lower amount of flour to start with and add more only if the dough is really too sticky.
Add yeast mixture to flour and mix.
Knead until smooth and elastic. Â 10 minutes is sufficient.
Place in greased bowl, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 30-45 minutes.
knocked down the rise dough, knead for a minute, Â shape the dough into rolls and place in a well-greased pan
Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let rise another 15-20 minutes.
Bake at 190 degree Celsius for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Yield: about 10-11 bread rolls
You can always freeze the bread. I usually throw in the oven without thawing for dinner or lunch.Â
