Without a doubt Sigmund Freud was an odd thinker, his bizarre mind lead him to discover the importance of psychology as an essential study to understand human behaviour. Freud is considered among Marx and Darwin as one of the most influential thinkers during the 20th Century who altered men perception of himself. During his studies Freud came to the conclusion that all our actions are driven down by our sexual desire (probably inspired by Darwin's “survival of the fittest”), kicking our instinct, who is controled by our unconscious. You as many other might disagree with some of Freud’s point of view ( lucky for yourself you are not part of his society, if you disagree with him there he kicked you out) but his way of thinking make us realize our body can have more than physical wounds which need healing. His greatest contribution of all was his concept of the unconscious. This concept states that our actions as our thinking are all controlled by our unconsciousness. Meaning that, our consciousness is just a small part of what is inside our head. Most of our thoughts are on our subconscious and more likely than we like to admit they are able to come to out, expressing themselves as random ideas and unintended actions.
