Trick/Theorem:- If ‘M1‘ persons can do ‘W1‘ works in ‘D1‘ days working ‘H1‘ hours a day and ‘M2‘ persons can do ‘W2‘ works in ‘D2‘ days working ‘H2‘ hours a day.

Let’s solve some Questions….

Q-1) 5 men can prepare 10 toys in 6 days working 6 hours a day. Then in how many days can 12 men prepare 16 toys working 8 hours a day ? a) 2 days b) 3 days c) 4 days d) 6 days

Solution:- 5 (M1) men can prepare 10 (W1) toys in 6 (D1) days working 6 (H1) hours a day.

Then in how many (D2) days can 12 (M2) men prepare 16 (W2) toys working 8 (H2) hours a day ?

Now apply Time and Work Maths Tricks:-

Now put M1=5, W1=10, D1=6, H1=6, M2=12, W2=16 & H2=8

Your ans b) 3 days [ So, in 3 days can 12 men prepare 16 toys working 8 hours a day.]
