Chistina Angelina x Ease One for the Little Haiti Mural Project.

An hour from Coachella along the eastern side of the Salton Sea make a left turn at once thriving Niland, California and you’ll run into a small community of approximately 150 year-round residents living off the grid alongside as many as a couple of thousand snowbird campers. Slab City is what’s left of World War II Marine Corps’ Camp Dunlap and creates an almost post-apocalyptic setting for the hauntingly beautiful collaborations of Christina Angelina and Ease One. Angelina told Artsy that her figures rely her connection to the beauty of the love she’s been fortunate to experience. With several highly successful collaborations under her belt, this water tank as well as another nearby piece called “Kinetoscope” were painted with Palm Springs painter, muralist, and tattoo artist Ease One.  @starfightera  @easeone_tx
