A dance ?

Already late in the evening, now left to their own devices after a day long spent. Thinking little of it, he had intended to follow after the rest of the group, following in their footsteps to turn in for the night. That was, until he catches the other with hand outstretched for him. It takes a moment to register, a moment to assess, soon curious look shifts to a smile.

Reaching to take hold of his hand, cool metal pressed against warm palm as he joins him. Hand in hand, he lets him take lead. Not only a master of earth, but a master of dance, of footwork. Step by step, Zane slowly picks up his tempo, his rhythm, falling in tune to the imaginary melody of the world around them.

It's nice. A moment of a gentle, intimate moment. Without disaster or adrenaline rush lurking around the corner. Something that would make the heart beat faster ( or the processor run harder ) as smile grows in their sway.

Of course I'm still accepting those! And you're more than welcome to send it in again if we need to spark some new things for us!

Something I think would be fun would be Cole dragging Lloyd to do something that's fun and doesn't require him to be so stressed about training or what the rest of their teammates are doing when they're off on missions and whatnot. There's a scene somewhere around S12 where Lloyd's kinda strung up while Cole was playing video games and eventually Lloyd joins him and he gets to relax a little bit. I think they just need more brotherly bonding time. Maybe a little bit of guidance with leadership as well. Maybe pull a prank against Kai or Jay together.

With Wu, I could potentially see maybe him taking Cole to places that Lilly found special to train at or visit during her times as the Earth Master?? Like we know the temple at Shintaro, but surely there were also a couple other places that Wu knew about that may have been before Lou and Cole's time with her. Wu checking in on Cole after his out of body experience (literally, formerly as a ghost) and making sure he isn't too messed up from that. and if so, helping him guide back towards grounding himself again (no pun intended).

Last but certainly not least, let me toss something for Zane! Cooking threads immediately come to mind but that feels like very surface level of what we could do. Something about deeper conversations feel crucial to how they grow their bond together. Things like Zane's sacrifice or Cole trying to keep his sanity while being a ghost. Potentially things after his ice emperor reign or Cole finding out more about his mom? Things that just spark them into talking about things they didn't really open up to others about. Or maybe something about asking for first dates or more or less Zane asking what Cole would be interested in for a compatible mate to build more on our little dynamic with them.

Also like, I'll put it out there that I'm also down for doing something in an AU setting. Ngl, would be interesting if Shintaro Knight Cole met Zane in a different life. But either way, I'm always happy to toss my muses at you!

It was always a strange feeling. Being missed in a way that others would lose their way towards their future. He knows he has felt similarly, but it was a sensation that felt so illogical & foreign that it was hard to process it. He had already gave up his life for his friends once before. If a second time ever occurred ( rest assured, he hopes that it will never come, nor does he look for that opportunity ), he would not think his absence would impact them as much. The nindroid takes his time to let the words sink in. He refrains from fighting against the claim, as he can understand the illogical notion.

The feeling of being lost seemed common among grievers. How quickly they can find their path once more depends on how one could handle their grief, to recognize staying stagnant will not bring back anything for them. Hand reaches forward, metallic fingers gently placed on top of his shoulders. Naturally, he is cold to the touch, but hopefully warm enough to bring comfort to the other.

" I have every intention of staying. " It's best that they don't delve in the what ifs, he concludes internally. Hand glides down to slip into his. " With you. With everyone. Please let this become the least of your concerns on your mind. "

Seems so long ago that they had once thought of him as nothing more than a nuisance. The annoying villain wannabe so desperate for a parental connection he was deprived of back in the day. A kid given a mission he never asked for. One who ( quite literally ) grew up too fast. To think that this was the path he'd take, or the people that'd become his family. The sudden feeling of sentimentality brewing in his chest was unexpected, as the such words seemed to be almost too casual to say. Something that was guaranteed rather than hoped for.

Perhaps it's the lingering quiet that follows that makes Lloyd feel as thought he's about to stumble around for a response. Even when he was simply letting it settle in. " That really means a lot, Cole. " Earnest as he could be, Lloyd speaks with a soft appreciative tone. " And you know I'll come running if you ever need help too. We're friends. ...Family. " How the final word comes out much meeker, more hesitant, than the other words. Their master always spoke of brotherhood... calling them family was always considered in his mind, but never spoken aloud. Until now.

" Y'know. Since Uncle Wu always says we are like brothers and everything... " Explaining away... as if it wasn't already spelled out way before then.

It's funny you send this cause I know I reblogged something the other day that had some of my old writing and I thought to myself "damn I was creative back then" as if I don't still do that from time to time. I do miss it when muses I love just have such quiet voices in my head to where I can't muse them as easily as I used to.

I think what I like most about my portrayals is that the headcanons I make help flesh out more of their characters. I pick a lot of side characters that may get a crumb or two of information before being casted away for the main protagonist all the other people love. (see image at very end for a rendition of literally me like 98% of the time) However I just take that opportunity and run with it. Expose the sides of them that "aren't in camera view." Or not really thought of beforehand. What is their bedroom like? How are their relationships? Do they have other friend groups? What other hobbies do they have aside from what they're known for? Are they the type to have kids or are they a child-free type person? A lot of the times they don't end up being written cause they just play in my head a lot and get forgotten but yknow... theyre still rattling about in there somewhere. I know most of the type they're for characters that not a lot of people know about, but to me, it's just worldbuilding for that character. And I enjoy doing that.
