Alex Williamson And Sam Hodgson Discuss Working On Earthsounds
I'm watching to the first episode of Earthsounds and I have a lot to say about Tom's choice of narration style, but he's describing the lyrebird and its attempt to attract a mate, right? The bird goes through a series of very interesting sounds, segues into a dance with grand plumage, and then, as Tom says, "But only when she gets close, does he reveal his grand finale..."
And the bird makes this wild sound, like, Atari video game type sound.
And Tom says, with extreme gravitas, "...the laser gun."
I laughed so hard I scared my cat. The sound itself is already kind of silly but to hear Tom call it what it is--a laser gun sound--so seriously was too much for me. 😂 I can tell this series will be well worth my time.
I got hold of a free trial of AppleTV, so I’m enjoying Tom Hiddleston’s narration of Earthsounds.
Ruthie cat is NOT enjoying Earthsounds. She apparently hates whale sounds.
And I’m such a softie that I’ve put in headphones so she doesn’t have to hear them.
