the staff isn't exactly very hygienic or professional with their procedures so it's likely that yes the tools they used probably weren't clean, or at least not cleaned Properly or well enough to avoid like maybe giving him an infection or something that made him more sick. his ear will not rot though, the limbs reattached to patients don't rot or decay after being reattached

💌 growing up we didnt have cable so I only had one cartoon channel to watch and they played veggie tales all the time and I hated it so much that one day when veggie tales came on I shoved beads in my ears so I wouldn’t have to hear it but one got stuck and I cried trying to get it out but couldnt, and then 3 years passed before I remembered and told my dad in the car and he got mad bc my doctor never saw it and got me a new doctor and took me to get it removed.(also you’re cool <3)
