Hot Take: I actually love Epic Winter!
I kinda understand why people had issues with it but overall it was a fun movie, the development for all the characters was fantastic to see, the animation, art, and designs were all gorgeous! The overall plot was great and I loved seeing the different fairytale castles of the world of EAH. Faybelle's fairy mobfather plot was funny, along with her interactions with Briar. Daring is just so stupid in this I love him.
And (another hot take) PERSONALLY I enjoyed a story where Raven and Apple's royal/rebel conflict wasn't apart of the plot and I was happy for more focus to be put on characters like Briar, Ashlynn, Faybelle, and even Daring!
Yes ofc I have some criticisms, like a lot of things could've been done better with Crystal's character and the plot with Blondie kinda fell flat and went no-where so tbh it probably would've been better to keep her out altogether. I do wish there was more for Rosabella too, but overall I've always loved it and it's lowkey a comfort movie for me, haha 😅
