I don't know that I'm clear-headed, having spent my extended weekend watching dramas, reading North and South and getting very little fresh air BUT I'm seriously enjoying Filing for Love and My Royal Nemesis. And I love watching/reading about a man that is In Love.
In Filing for Love, Noh Ki Jun is proudly enamored with Joo In Ah and it's glorious. He's so open about his feelings and she's not (as much) and I like that contrast. And she just, gives him the key to understand her? She tells him she sabotages her own happiness. And he finally gets that she's doing that again, and she finally learns to fight it.
In My Royal Nemesis, Cha Se Gye fell hard and fast and it's hilarious to watch him trying to convince himself that he has no special feelings for Shin Seo Ri. I love his care and concern, against his better judgement. And when he says it's pity in front of her, how it hurts her? How she's beating herself up while destroying the doghouse? How she asks him not to make her think he has affection for her? Yeah.
If anyone cares, North and South is about a man falling first also. By the time the heroine catches up to the fact that she has feelings, it feels like it's far too late. My one complaint is: not enough of the happy times. They get like 3 pages of mutually acknowledged love.
