"You do look very cozy like that" | aziraphale @ crowley | @ofeasterngate
An enormous, black snake with scales the colour of an oil slick and a belly of brilliant orange lifted its head lazily from its place coiled comfortably before the hearth. The warm glow of fire light cast shades of yellow and gold along the edges of his scales as he regarded Aziraphale. He didn't speak or shift back to a more human corporeal. No, Crowley only flicked his tongue at the other to taste the air between them before slithering into a more comfortable coil and laying his head back down.
Crowley had never liked the cold. Might come from the snake-like qualities he carried, even as a humanoid. He liked to joke that he was cold-blooded as much as cold-hearted, though they both knew at least one was a lie. But perhaps he didn't like the cold, not because he simply disliked it, but because he was sensitive to it. It made him tired at least, though the effects might have been more concerning than that.
Did that mean all demons could be weak to things like that? Was Crowley just an odd duck? Truth be told, he hadn't put much thought toward it, and neither did he think on it now as he bathed in the heat from the fire. Cozy, as Aziraphale had said, on the floor before the grate.
