there are not many geniuses in this world, especially not ones who are weary of being one. of course, coming from a family of artists, it came to no surprise that she could master the violin and the piano exceptionally well. her musical virtuosity, however, turned out to be only one of the many talents she had. her parents proudly painted her future as a revolutionary scientist with several doctorates, performing heavenly concerts all over the globe; they could not fathom the blessing that was their very own daughter.

there are people who like to throw parties randomly. not for the sake of their social status, not because there is something to celebrate, not because they’re narcissistic show-offs. but just because they can, and they want to. and claire is one of those people.

money is nothing but paper, her parents always said. but it is only in high school that she discovers this sentence to be taught only to children who are wealthy, nay, really rich. being the only heir of the journès’, she has all the freedom she desires, while simultaneously being hindered from following the one deep passion she has in her life: the pursuit of art. 

she is always on the verge of breaking out, of leaving everything behind - but she knows that she has too much. and that is exactly why she isn not allowed to change anything but her mind. all she can do is to sing in silence; to dance without movement, and to paint with no colours.
