The big fish. These are the blogs I consider to be more popular because I see them in my dash over and over everyday. (Believe me I am not complaining I love them!) I will probably end up with a big fish part two down the road so look out for that.

@boneandfur she is who got me started on my crack pairs. Her crack pairs mostly leave me wanting more. She has an incredible brain and has so much to read and such a unique and beautiful writing style. Masterlist 

@walkerismychoice such a beautiful person and writer. She actually helped me develop Drake back when I started writing and is also one of the people who gave me courage to write. I absolutely adore Queen of Hearts, her poly couple (my fault and I’m not sorry) and her Driam. Masterlist

@drakewalkerwhipped she has me constantly saying I didn’t need my heart it’s okay. She has a way of ripping your heart out but keeping you coming back for more. She got me hooked with Supposed to Be, I await my weekly scream fest with Autumn Blues and I can’t get enough of her Driam or poly couple. Masterlist 

@darley1101 I don’t ship Drake & Olivia yet she is one of the few writers I keep going to for just that. Wanna know what it would be like if D&D MC went on a killing rampage? She has you. She also writes Jake x F!MC, Estella x M!MC, friendship fics, Parker Shaw, and Beckett. Masterlist

@blackcatkita her fluff queen crown is slipping but I love her anyway. What if Liam found out about Drake & MC’s kiss after they were married? It’s a bumpy ride for sure. She is also branching out to write Mark, Adrian, Damien & Sawyer. Masterlist

@hellospunkiebrewster killed Liam, runaway king x MC, Bertrand with sugar gliders, what if D&D was simply a movie? Chanvi that I need to read. She showed me you can kill a beloved character and not be run off the site. Masterlist

@kittenofdoomage tread with care, please read the warnings of her fics before you read. Some can go dark but even the dark fics are amazing! And she loves John and writes him with respect he deserves. Also has TWD and some Marvel. Masterlist

Hi Carmen!!!! (Sorry I’m late answering this).

Summer has been okay in as much as summers go. It’s my least favourite season and my friends are all very far away from where I live so it’s one of my loneliest seasons, as well. But I went on a trip with my dad to see some of our extended family on vacation in Wyoming for a week and that was fun, and I’ve been practicing driving, and I’ve been learning Korean (I can confidently say I know at least a quarter of the Hangul characters on sight), and I’ve been practicing my Spanish, so the summer’s not a total wash.

For shows, I’ve been watching the Netflix adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman comics and so far it’s really good! The Sandman comics are my favourite thing Neil Gaiman has written and the adaptation is very well done (so far my favourite bit is the battle in Hell, we’ll see if that changes). I’d definitely recommend the show, with the caveat that a few of the episodes are very high in gore and violence, idk what your feelings about seeing those in film are.

Regarding music, the most recent album to really grab me was Hello, World! the debut (technically it’s a mini album) album of Xdinary Heroes. I listened to that for the whole week straight after it dropped, it’s so good. I was going to tell you my favourite tracks and then I realized that it was basically just all of them. I will say that “Sucker Punch” lyrically has my favourite message of any of the songs and “Pirates” has the most interesting stuff going on musically/with the instruments and rhythms and stuff, but genuinely I adore all the songs. If I was tier listing them they’d all be S tier or A tier, like I love them so much. Moving on from Xdinary Heroes, though, I recommend Stray Kids’ music! They’re probably my favourite musical artists of the moment, I fell in love with them back in January (and thus began my descent into kpop, rip). I love all their music but “Thunderous,” “The Tortoise and the Hare,” and “Red Lights” (I have many thoughts about this song don’t let it fool you it isn’t just a horny/hot/sexy song it’s about obsession and the sexiness/romantic overtones are just the most obvious layer I fucking hate when people reduce it to just being the sexy song with the risqué music video like yeah it is that but it’s also more and I care very much that people recognize that, sorry rant over) are particular favourites of mine. (I was gonna keep suggesting songs but I couldn’t narrow down to a reasonable number aside from these three but like their discography is so varied and I love all of it, the new stuff and the old stuff, and I love their unreleased stuff and covers which are only on YouTube and just everything everything but also just them as people they’re so good and I love them so much, sorry I’ll stop, but yeah I really fell head over heels for them).

I found out after I finished this that it’s a stand alone sequel to Vo’s other novella, Empress of Salt and Fortune, and I can say that it is absolutely a standalone, it made perfect sense without me even knowing it was part of a larger story.

Week six of trying something new, technically week nine but let’s not get picky. This is still a small sampling of who I am reading and think you should be reading too! If you have anyone you think I should check out for next week give me a shout-out and I will try to fit in at least one fic into my crazy schedule. 

@choicesbyjade I’ve mostly read her Royal Romance, I need to branch out when I have time. Her new Leo x Hana series definitely has me hooked. Masterlist

@alicars is back and in action! I read her before she took her hiatus so I’ve read pretty much everything. Chrysalis is her newest fic, I loved Veiled and let’s see if you can guess who’s side I was on for Of Lies and Love. Masterlist
