I bounce my leg a little as the dimmed lights slowly grow brighter and the cheering gets louder. It’s not that I’m nervous or that I don’t like the crowds of people, but it’s always a surprised. I don’t think I’ve ever realized how many people actually watch Teen Wolf. 

The interview Tyler and I are doing today is with E!, and the host seems like a really nice lady, so with some luck, this’ll all go well. 

“Welcome to E! Interview, I’m Rita and today we have the two wonderful cast members from Teen Wolf here with us, Tyler Hoechlin and (Y/N) (Y/L/N)! Give them a warm welcome everyone.” Rita, the interviewer beams at the audience, her English accent making the word ‘wonderful’ sound amusing. 

The fans cheer and clap as the two of us begin to wave with massive smiles on our faces. I always get a thrill out of interviews or meet and greets because I love meeting fans. And Tyler does too.

“I am so glad you managed to find some time for us, with your busy schedule and all.” Rita crosses her legs and leans forward to speak to the two of us. 

“It’s our pleasure, really. We’re glad you’d have us tonight.” Tyler grins. 

Rita looks down at the papers in her hands briefly before looking back up at us. “The fans have been dying to know what it’s like inside of the home of the hottest couple of California. How have things been with you guys?” 

Tyler and I look at each other with a knowing look. This question is the most frequently asked one when the two of us do interviews together, so I knew it was coming. Tyler swings his arm around my shoulders, causing a few cooes from the audience, before turning to Rita.

“Well, we recently adopted our 4th dog, a rescue called Bandit. So he’s brought a lot of joy into our lives. Other than that, things are pretty normal.” Tyler smiles. After years of dating, he still manages to make my stomach swarm with butterflies. All he needs is to smile and I’m falling in love all over again.

“Aw, what kind of dog is it?” Rita asks, seeming genuinely interested. 

“He’s an Australian Shepherd. Bandit is the smallest in our family so far.” Tyler replies once again. He’s more of a talker than me, so I’m glad I can just sit back and watch my boyfriend do the talking. Though the ‘so far’ should have been a hint enough for the interviewer. 

Rita shuffles through her notes as she mumbles a ‘bet he’s adorable’, before looking back up at us.

“So, (Y/N). Your character made her debut in Teen Wolf earlier this season, and it’s safe to say that the sparks flying between (Y/C/N) and Derek were hot enough to set the room ablaze. What can we expect to come from this?” 

The fans cheer and I think I heard one of them shout ‘sex’. Well, they’re not wrong. I try to think back to the last episode that aired. Derek and my character only shared a kiss, so I can’t dish out any dirt on the sex scene from next episode just yet.

“Oh, a lot I think. I came into the show expecting to play Scott’s latest love interest, because that’s what was written on the script I got. But turns out I had Arden Cho’s copy. So when I got told that I’d get paid to basically make out with my boyfriend, I didn’t really complain. But yeah, I think a lot of things are due to happen, some which the fans may not really be expecting.” I chuckle and take a sip of the water on the desk to calm down my blush. 

The audience laughs along with Rita and Tyler. 

“How different, or similar, is the relationship between you two and your on-screen characters?” Rita asks.

Tyler and I look at each other. This isn’t something either of us have given any thought to, I don’t think. Interesting. 

“Their relationship is more intense. They obviously have a lot going on with the constant threats, and the age difference is more prominent in the show than it is with us in real life. The two of us are more laid back.” Tyler comments and sends a quick smile my way. 

“Definitely. Also were less adventurous. You won’t see us running around at 3am unless it’s to get some takeaway.” I smile at Tyler briefly before turning to the chuckling audience. There’s a few cameras flashing.

Tyler’s fingers absentmindedly play with the tips of my hair, his attention on Rita as she continues to ask questions written on her papers.

“So how did you two actually meet?” The interviewer asks, taking a drink from her glass of water.

A small smile tugs at the corner of my lips. Have we told this story at least 20 times? Definitely. But it never gets old, and I love remembering it. Tyler’s grin widens, knowing just how of a coincidence us meeting was. If anything such as fate exists, then that would be a perfect example of it at work. 

“Well, you see, (Y/N) and I were both on the same flight from L.A. to New York, and the flight is like five hours long. And we had seats next to each other. It’s a real cliché .” Tyler chuckles, shooting me a look of glee. One of the things I’ve fallen in love with when it comes to him is his easily excitable nature. It’s always him that wakes up at 5am to pack for a spontaneous trip he planned for us the night before, always him that arrives everywhere 10 minutes early so he has time to look around and get to know his surroundings. It’s him that proposed we start a family when Teen Wolf finishes. 

I grin at the audience. “I hate sleeping on planes, I just can’t do it. I can’t. But Tyler loves to, so you can already imagine how tired he was by the time the plane landed. Because all I did during the five hours was talk and talk. But by some miracle, he gave me his number when we landed.”

A few people shout words like ‘cute’ and ‘adorable’. It’s the usual reactions, but they still make me unbelievable happy and blessed that this is the career path I chose. 

“Were you annoyed to be sat next to someone who spoke so much?” Rita asks. her eyes flicking between the two of us. 

Tyler smiles at me and shakes his head a little, adjusting his cap in the process. 

“Maybe initially, because I had barely any sleep from shooting the day before. But no, not really. I was sitting next to an attractive woman who made me laugh and shared my love for dogs and was also an actress. So it was the prefect coincidence.”

My heart swells with my love for him. I really couldn’t ask for a more perfect man to call mine. 

“Okay, we’re running out of time here, so let’s finish up with a few more questions about the show. Should we expect any plot twists this mid-season finale?” Rita asks.

Tyler sends me a knowing look before turning back around to the interviewer. “Of course, a few actually. We can’t say much, but one of them involves our characters, and one other has a significant impact on the dynamic of the pack.”

Knowing that Derek and my character end up being mates, I grin at the unknowing audience. They’re going to love this twist.

Rita nods, before firing another question our way. “Would you say the show would be different without your characters, Derek Hale and (Y/C/N)?”

Before either of us two can answer, the audience start shouting, most agreeing that the show would be very much different without the sourwolf and his soon-to-be mate. And they’re right. Derek Hale has had such a strong presence since the first season, and even I myself can’t imagine the show without him.

I chuckle and wink at the fans. “There you have it, apparently not.”

Rita grins at us, before standing up. “Well folks, that’s us out of time. Please give a round of applause for our guests, (Y/N) (Y/L/N) and Tyler Hoechlin!” 

The two of us stand up as the fans clap and yell, our hands intertwined. We both wave before walking off stage. Within a few minutes, we’re in our car and heading home. 

“That never gets boring.” I smile up at Tyler as his hand comfortably rests on my thigh. I take a hold of it, bringing it up to my lips to place a loving kiss on his knuckles.
