Turn down the lights and get ready to dance to the opulent, sweltering sounds of this soulful disco house offering from Colorado based trio DYNOHUNTER. Despite the steamy heat, there’s a lavish elegance to entrancing Sound Of The City, featuring Precious Hill. The trio create a jazzy atmosphere with their unique blend of live instruments and synthesized sound. Combined with the rich vocals of Denver songstress Precious Hill, I find myself much reminded of some of my favorite Flight Facilities jams, except DYNOHUNTER’s music has an organic, animated quality to it. Sound Of The City really seems to carry the sounds of a living, vigorous metropolitan space, perhaps in particular, on a late night, lit by muted streetlamps. It’s the second single off DYNOHUNTER’s EP, The Nomad, out now.
