Dynamic Distortion.
Dynamic Distortion
This week I created a dynamic distortion piece. My aim was to create a finished product that showed artistic work with a basic photo to then be evolved into a work in the moment of movement. The main materials that were used were stocks of Splat Brushes I had already downloaded online and also experiments we had made of our own. My main inspiration for this work was an artist called "Doucin Pierre".
Doucin Pierre -
Originally Pierre was working as a graffiti artist but his main interest in digital skills is producing artistic flyer's and posters. As Pierre already has skills in such departments like photography and painting his developing time is very fast and effective. Most of Pierre's work is based around the movement and fragments of a subject.
Here is an example of a "Dynamic Distortion" image:
I really like this piece because of the accurate segments pulled from the original image. I also like how the basketball player is dissolving in the direction of his previous position in movement. The other aspect I think works really well on this piece is the splatter effect added in solid colors from segments that are on the players body.
