Until You Get Too Low || Brieran
Brett breathes out a soft sigh, tipping his head to rest against the top of Kieranās, turning slightly to press a kiss to his dark hair.Ā āIām sorry,ā he says quietly, muffling the words into his scalp before closing his eyes. He canāt bring himself to pay attention to where theyāre going, even if he should. Heās curious to know just how close the other man had been living to him this whole time. When the car finally stops, Brett pulls back and slides to his door, stepping out into the cool night all on his own this time. He doesnāt really recognize the area, and maybe heās a little grateful for that, to know the other man hadnāt just been slipping through his fingers the whole time.Ā āPlease tell me you have something to kill the pain upstairs, because Iām pretty sure he bruised my ribs and it still kind of hurts to breathe.āĀ
Kieran was quiet for the rest of the ride, just listening to Brett breathe while he calmed himself down, leaning on his shoulder until the cab stopped. He paid for the fare and hopped out after Brett, closing the door before he went over to Brett and wrapped his arm around his shoulders, guiding him toward the inside. He usually never used the elevator, but tonight he would.Ā āYeah, of course. I have some medium strength stuff and then some stuff thatāll knock you out cold, if you prefer.ā He looked over him in worry, the idea of him finding it hard to breathe making Kieranās own chest constrict.
