This little 3D printed tester is very reminiscent of what i was making at university in my final year. Ive printed a few little gates, but this one in its simplicity is much more akin to the picket fences i was exploring 10 years ago! Ive got a ‘cookie cutter’ printing as I type, of this design. The plan being to cut the shape out of clay and create multiples that way.

The work ranges from story sticks, story stick illustration of Jung's 12 archetypes , experiments with chess pieces, carvings and their comic books, and Naked Tuesday paintings. All by Daniel Bendel

I’d made an unsuccessful attempt to Arts Council England in 2020 and my practice needed financial support after losing all my paid work during Covid that year. I was lucky enough to receive Access Support from ACE to work with Mark on a renewed DYCP application. Mark’s process of working together was clear and precise, we emailed a few times and then during an online meeting he asked me investigative questions. My ideas, ambitions and project thoughts were put succinctly into a written proposal that clearly defined my application for funding. Mark understands the format and complexities of Arts Council proposals, with plenty of additional advice on structuring supporting information and choice of images, but always with his eye on the deadline. The outcome was a success!
