Why Obi-Wan and Anakin being a Force dyad not only makes sense but doesnt contradict canon
First of all: what exactly is a dyad?
A dyad is two physically separate individuals being the same presence in the Force. The only dyad bond that currently exists in canon is, of course, the one shared by Rey and Ben. They have an 11 year gap, meaning two people are not born a dyad, but develop a dyad bond over the course of their life (keep this in mind). They have a lot of amazing and unique abilities that nobody else has (like extremely powerful Force healing* and object transfer), but a few of their dyad feats are also found in the Obi-Wan/Anakin duo.
*Force healing isn't exclusive to the dyad btw, several Force users had this ability, including Anakin and Obi-Wan.
Here are some examples:
Revenge of the Sith novelization you continue to be the end of me
oh obi-wan...
sorry i cant go to bed i have to think about men sharing a psychic connection that allows them to suffer together and feel each other’s pain caused by the same injuries they gave each other after having set each other on fire

ok but what if anakin and obi-wan shared a dyad bond... that was severed when anakin fell to the dark side.... and created a wound in the force.... and obi-wan was the wound..... and thats why anakin was the only one who could bring balance to the force.... by destroying the sith... and dying... so he could reunite with obi-wan.....
like how are reylo gonna be a dyad but then obikin aren’t… if any pair of any people in all of star wars was a fucking dyad, it was obikin 🤪 also now that we are circling back to it, what it anakin wasn’t the chosen one by himself… what if anakin and obi-wan together in their dyad were the chosen ones but it all got fucked up which is why them together in the force is what brings peace to the galaxy 🧐🧐🧐 interesting how it’s all them always
thats a nice way to think about it, but george lucas has always been pretty clear that anakin was the only chosen one from the very beginning. i dont think two people in a dyad need to be equally strong/powerful for them to still share that bond. we know rey is exponentially stronger than kylo ren, she's the only one powerful enough to channel all of the jedi (plus she beat him several times).
but my interest in the dyad thing with obikin revolves around obi-wan being a wound in the force more than anything. i like the idea of their bond breaking so abruptly and violently on mustafar that it made him become a wound. this way it would make sense that in order to bring balance to the force anakin must die, so the dyad can be reunited
