“Last few days weren’t the best. I’ve been throwing up and feeling sick. I know that it can only be one of two things: a stomach flu or I’m pregnant.

I can’t stop thinking about the latter. I know I shouldn’t get my hopes up with the way that everyting is. But somewhere deep inside me I still have a glimmer of hope that I AM pregnant and that I could finally give Desmond a child that he desperately wants and deserves.

I keep telling him that we don’t need children to be happy. That we have each other and that’s enough. But I can see it’s not enough for him, that a baby is the thing that keeps him from being completely happy.

I know I’m not religious but, God, PLEASE let me be pregnant. That’s all I’m asking from you.”
