After a long day of running classes, Nyssa was keen to pack up her things and home - to then head out on patrol. The threat of her sister’s agents had not faded any in light of Poison Ivy’s attack on Central City, and now there were even more enemies she had to ensure did not dig their claws too deeply into Star City or its sister city. Malcolm Merlyn and his own off-shoot of the League, whoever was angling to take down the Kryptonians, and now the Court of Owls had proven themselves reality rather than myth. It was exhausting, but she at least enjoyed being kept busy.
The happy thought of going out to crack a few skulls was dampened, however, at the sight of one of her ‘colleagues’ blocking the entrance, leaning over someone in a way that was clearly meant to emphasise his musculature. A poor attempt at flirting with one of the gym members. Again. “Darren, stop hitting on this poor woman and get out of the way.” She sighed, resisting the urge to punch his perfectly structured face as he turned to her with a smug smirk.
“Relax, Nyssa, we’re just talking.” She was sure the wink he shot the woman - who Nyssa noted was regarding him rather... blankly - was supposed to be charming, but it just made Nyssa roll her eyes behind his back.
“No, you’re not. You’re trying to have sex with her.” She stated bluntly, her lip curling a little in disgust at the thought. “And she’s not interested.” Nyssa guessed, given the clear interest Darren was eyeing the newcomer with was not matched at all. Nyssa was good at reading people, had to be to survive - and thankfully this woman seemed to have enough sense to not mistake Darren’s ego for charm.
