âHe wants to make an impact beyond acting,â said Efron of his Baywatch co-star in an interview with The Times of London. âHe could run for president. F--- it, heâd be better than anyone at this point.â
The Rock himself has teased a possible future in politics in an interview with British GQ:
âIâll be honest, I havenât ruled politics out. Iâm not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure. I canât deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring. And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on peopleâs lives on a global scale.â

Before Johnson follows in the footsteps of Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger, he has an overflowing plate of entertainment projects to complete first. Not only has his HBO series Ballers just been renewed for a third season, but Johnson is also a part of that big screen version of Baywatch with Efron, Disneyâs Moana, Fast 8 (and possible sequels), the remake of Jumanji, and at least six other announced projects heâs attached to through 2019, according to IMDB. Hmmm, so that means heâs free for a 2020 ballot project â unless he gets too busy running his new YouTube channel by then?
