I really can't tell if I'm a dwarf kin or an elf kin or a strange combination of two, or maybe both at the same time. I yearn for the mines, to explore caves I adore the cold slightly damp air of the underground I miss the dust in my beard no matter how irritating it once was. But at the same time living among the surface nature surrounded by the magic and natural wonders, animals and plants, feeling the breeze on my face and in my hair. My ears feel too short and nothing sounds as clear as it should. Advice very welcome, I'm just a bit lost?
I am homesick for a place only described in fantasy

The Glittering Caves ; Aglarond
"No you don't understand," said Gimli, "No dwarf could be unmoved by such loveliness. None of Durin's race would mine those caves for stones or ore, not if diamonds and gold could be got there."
Hello there! I'd like to request some food for a dwarfkin from lotr! Some hearty meals (like stews) would be great, alongside some breads and such things. (I'm not sure if you do non-alcoholic drinks, but those would be appreciated). Thank you so much in advance!
I do, in fact, do non-alcoholic drinks! I’ll do my best but apologize in advance if I’m off.
Instant Pot Spicy Beef Curry Stew
Greek Lamb Stew
Hawaiian Bread Rolls
Golden Sweet Cornbread
Cold-Brewed Coffee
Strawberry Smoothie
I hope you enjoy! ~Shadow
Dwarfkin!
A small disclaimer: Most of the Ancestries I have created still contain the term ‘Race’ quite frequently. I did this mostly to keep things clear for people who would be confused by the term ancestry without the added context the greater Campaign Guide will provide. This will be edited and fixed by the time I create the full guide. Dwarkin, simply due to being alphabetically the first ancestry, was the first one I made. Dwarfkin are the sturdy, flexible, and short ancestry of Verity that takes what I believe to traditionally be the role of humans because I find humans to be, in most fantasy settings, exceedingly boring simply due to them already existing in real life and the trend as a result of that which says that humans must always be the adaptable ancestry that’s not really amazing at anything, but usable at everything. Dwarfkin is an umbrella term for three different ancestries - Dwarves, Gnomes and Halflings. A note about Races/Ancestries in my world is that all of them are able to pick any stat distribution they want. I disliked that in the base game, most races were limited heavily in what classes they could effectively be used for simply due to their attribute bonuses they received. Dragonborn, for example, struggle to effectively play a lot of classes because their attribute bonuses are so niche. So I’ve done away with that and simply given every ancestry the option to either A: take +2 to one ability score and +1 to another, or B: take +1 to 3 different ability scores. Secondly, these ancestries all have far more racial abilities than the ancestries in the PHB or other official materials. This is also intentional on my part to make each ancestry feel unique. I do believe that by and large this will make Player Characters stronger simply due to the added tools at their disposal, but I think the tradeoff for that unique feel for each ancestry is important. Without further ado, here is the Dwarfkin. I welcome feedback on this! My next Ancestry will be posted tomorrow as I quickly power through all of the things I’ve already written to get to the new stuff. Homebrewery Link
