Jaeho waited at the aisle impatiently, occasionally looking at his watch to see when the therapy session was starting. He could’ve been out coaching the team or doing something productive with his time, but instead he was here whiling his time away on therapy he felt he no longer needed. While he would be more receptive most times, that day was especially bad as he jumped to his feet, deciding that simply waiting was not going to help him anyway.
He began to hobble out to the exit, figuring that there was something he could do to keep his hands (and mind) busy- only to feel his crutch hook against another object, which sent him tumbling across the ground. “Ow...” Jaeho rubbed his sore butt, about to unleash a string of curses when he noticed the other man across him struggling to get up. That was when he finally noticed the cane that was in the other’s hand, and quickly tried to right himself in order to help the other man first.
“Are you ok?” he began, managing to stumble back to his feet, “I’m so sorry for bumping into you like that!”

━ ☀ Elevators. He hated them with his whole body. They made him feel small and insecure- how could he even escape them if he had to? He rather walked the seven stairs he normally had to take to walk up to his apartment. He hated the small rooms. But when he had to go to a meeting in a building in on the 29th floor, he could never go up that many stairs.
He held his cane close as he stepped into the elevator, trying to stay a bit more relaxed while he hummed, He pressed the right button- suddenly so glad the elevator had braille on the buttons so he did not had to talk to a stranger. Breathing slowly, he closed his eyes and waited until the doors closed and the elevator went up. Bang. The elevator stopped with a loud bang, making him gasp softly When it did not move anymore, he whispered softly. “What happened..?” “Looks like we’ll be trapped for a while.” Yeah, that was great. He was going to be trapped in this… small room until they got rescued out of it. Great.
Jaeho sighed as he pressed the bell to signal for help, before he stumbled to a seated position and massaged his legs. His own crutch bumped against the cane of the stranger’s as it let out a light tinkle, and he started, realising the other had asked him a question. “The lift’s broken down. At least the lights are still on, which is ok. We’d probably get it going soon, since I pressed the emergency buttons,” he explained, leaning back and looking at the ceiling.
Of course it had to be the one day he would visit someone that the lift broke down. He couldn’t climb stairs at all- his legs simply didn’t extend enough for him to even clear steps (he had to go through raised steps to houses sideways with his crutch), and he rubbed his brows before laying his crutch down beside him. “I guess we could talk a little about ourselves?” he ventured, seeing how nervous the other man was, “I was here to visit a friend, but then the lift broke- I didn’t get a choice since stairs have been my enemy for a decade. You?”

growing up with a brother that took joy in playing the piano, soeun had always been more than a little curious about the instrument. as a child she would always sit beside him as he played, amazed at the sound his nimble fingers could produce. she had wanted to learn as well, but for years she pushed the thought back to the farthest corner of her head, thinking that there were other things that needed her attention more than taking lessons.
but now she had finally decided to push through with it: the female had been asking around for a place where she could learn, or at least someone to teach her, but the referrals were always either inactive or frauds. so when a friend talked to her about a site that offered piano lessons, soeun was nothing but excited.
that same day, she visited the site with excitement still lingering within her, and she was quick to grab her phone somewhere on her sheets once she got the number posted on the page.

༼ These days Kibum didn’t take enough time to go by himself on a light walk. Whereas just half a year ago he nagged at his comrades of the importance of taking proper sunlight at least twice per day and go out and enjoy a bit of the life out there, now he barely poked his head outside unless it was for a mission or the other business he had been trying to solve.
This day was a bit different however. There were things he would rather not remember and walking had always helped him clear his head before, he wished this time it could be the same. And it sort of worked, but not in the ways he expected.
Frantic hazel eyes were roaming over the other man’s body, checking for any sign of injury or anything that told him the demon had stroke fatally before Kibum could have helped it.
But the stranger was okay, and if his expression was to take into account, he seemed actually very confused at Kibum’s sudden exclamation.
“But…” the Nephilim became quiet, hesitant of what had just happened. He looked at the ground, there was no evidence of the disposed demon or whatsoever. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. His grip on his blade tightened for a moment, hand shaking. He shook his head then, placing the weapon back where it belonged. He was using the invisibility rune, and for once he was glad he had done it. “I’m really sorry, I… I thought I saw something. It’s clear to me now it was just my imagination. Sorry for startling you this way,” he said, voice slightly lower than usual and hoarse. ♚

There are days when Mina is easily distracted; usually it's when her heart isn't fully into whatever it is that she needs to be doing. That day, it just happens to be piano lessons. Granted, it was her idea to pick up playing again. When she was younger, her parents had signed her up for lessons, but that had all but lasted for a year and all she really learned were basics.
She thought it would be a good idea, and that 4-5 hours a week wouldn't be such a chore. In the end, it isn't the time that's the problem; AOA hasn't been doing as many events as of late, so she's managed to get through lessons mostly without needing to reschedule. Her hands are so small though, that as her teacher assigns more difficult pieces, it gets exponentially harder.
This is why lately she's found her thoughts wandering off easily. The sound of the rain pouring outside doesn't help either. At the back of her head she knows she's hit at least four wrong keys in the last minute she's been playing, but surprisingly her instructor hasn't said a word about it. In fact, he's been surprisingly quiet, at least until his calm tone cuts through Mina's thoughts about an unexpected topic. “I love the rain,” he says, and Mina finds her fingers stopping completely from playing.
“Me too, ssaem,” she answers, head turning towards the direction of the window so she can watch as water falls non-stop. “It makes me feel calm, for some reason.”
