With more and more time slipping away from them with the further lack of sleep - Justin was now walking a further distance around with his super strong coffee than he normally would - normally, he would stick to the Dining Hall and share his coffee around there, but with people all going longer without sleep - it was imperative to try to keep a closer eye on everyone.
At least....he could try to do that much, even if he knew he was starting to shake a lot more than he should due to drinking so much coffee.Ā Even someone who disliked sleeping as much as he couldnāt hold out forever, but for the sake of keeping the other students awake, he had to try.
Ah, there was an older person he didnāt know as well as Uta, passing by. He didnāt know them that well, so this was a chance to strike up a conversation with someone newer, as well.Ā āDo you need any strong coffee to assist in keeping you awake? I felt it was a good idea to go around and make sure others have plenty!ā

The same word kept repeating in her head once she was finally conscious from her long rest.
How long was she asleep? Hours? Maybe longer? Who knew at this point.
Why?
She had went into the kitchen to make herself some tea to recover from exhaustion. She didnāt have much of an appetite and for now she was sick of drinking coffee after constantly drinking it for the whole time they were up.
Her mind went back to the murder. She wished she was still in her sleep deprived stupor instead of focusing back on it
Why?
She didnāt get enough time to get to know Wataru very well but at least he had helped her in the times when everyone had split up for investigations for both trials. Not the best circumstances to be acquainted with him but it was something? Possibly? She did feel calm, almost safe, with him beside her through the trials.
But in her mind all she could think about was Wataru murdering someone. She denied the very idea in her thoughts.
And yet she couldnāt express that like everyone else in the trial room. Her lack of expression since he revealed himself was a frightening thing. She did promise herself that she wouldnāt let her emotions get in the way after the first trial but not like this.
She felt....something hollow inside her now that he was no longer with them.
And she couldnāt explain why.
Her mind crept back towards Daiki. Unlike Wataru, she barely even spoke to him. Just a simple conversation when they first arrived and that was about as much contact without anyone around.
So why finally going back to thinking about him give her so much pain? Why was this presence of emptiness much worse when thinking about the Ultimate Superstitious? Was there something else there she was missing? She recalled the group photo from the first trial, but he wasnāt there so why does this matter? What did this all mean to her?
Why?
She gasped lightly upon realizing tears started falling. She tried to wipe them away but more only appeared. A sniffle escaped her as she held back a sob.
āIām sorry.ā
Why was she reacting this way? What is she even sorry for? She didnāt even get to know them and yet this hollow feeling inside her stuck with her, like she lost people who were important to her.
āI-Iām so sorry...ā
The cup of tea she made no longer warm. Not like she wanted to have anymore anyway.
matter of fact. he had no clue when or how that sneaky lil toy snapped some freaky bdsm collar around his neck(-- he knew what it actually was, purpose and all he just thought this was a lil spicyĀ for dramatic flare is all --) to be fair this was a little annoying.
sure lack of sleep is one thing, itās nothing new, this man runs off coffee and thrives off the constant late hours hes had to stay awake to make masks, paintings, ect. thisĀ thing around his neck however? stupid.
guess heāll wonder around for the remainder of daylight, perhaps heāll see someone and ask them, curiously,
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā whatever became of one of his students?
Ā Ā Ā You know what a good way of getting everyoneās attention in the dining hall at breakfast is? Blowing a loud whistle, of course! Theyāre damn lucky she didnāt get out the bullhorn, but she wasnāt feeling it today.
Ā Ā Ā āSo, now that I got yer attention, Iād like tāmake an announcement.ā Peacock with an announcement doesnāt seem to be a good thing, and she can tell some people are already ignoring her for their breakfast, so she cuts right to the chase.Ā āI went through the murdererās room, and he had a murder notebook!ā
Ā Ā Ā Peacock holds it high in the air, a bit smug knowing she has their undivided attention now.Ā āHe wrote about all of you! Thatās right, each and every one of youse, even me! He was tryinā to think about how to off most of us, too! Kinda fucked up, aināt it?ā
Ā Ā Ā By now, more people have gathered, curious about what the hell this girl is talking about. She plops herself down on the table she was standing on, opening it to the very beginning. Oh, itās easy to tell that some of her peers are wondering why she was in Goroās room to begin with, but she isnāt here to answer those questions.Ā
Ā Ā Ā āHey, yāwanna know what he said about ya?ā Sheās turning to the person standing closest to her, immediately turning to their page in the notebook.Ā āIt might be good stuff!ā
āDid you s-still want to... go with me t-to look at plants Totoko?ā A day had passed no since the trial, a new morning on all of them. A terrible thing like that shouldnāt derail their plans. Suki would cry but that didnāt make her problems go away. She didnāt want to let go of this date they had made either. There would be more pictures, and best of all a chance for her to impress Totoko with her knowledge of botany.Ā
her cheeks were glowing, starting at the shsl idol and herself loved like that. But if she could be friends with Totoko, that would be the best right? All the self importance of being famous without any actually attention directed at her. Suki smiled. āW-we can find ones to p-put in Ahikoās shoes thatāll m-make his feet itchy.ā Oh how dastardly. She didnāt know why being mean came to mind first thing like that.Ā
Maybe from watching how Totoko had been in the trial situation. She seemed so vicious it was scary but also nobody hurt her cause sheād hurt them first. Was that the way she had to be strong? Getting at the people she didnāt like... might just feel good.Ā

After Wataruās execution, Tohru hadnāt really felt much. Heād simply gone back to his room and passed out the moment he closed the door, having not even watchedĀ the execution. The sounds had gotten to him a little bit, maybe, but it was nothing bad- and he was lucky enough to pass out into a dreamless sleep.
And yet, when he woke up, he didnāt feel fine. He wasnāt nearly as paranoid, no, but he felt.... guilty.
Tohru Souma felt guilty.
It wasnāt about Wataru, Tohru didnāt know anything aboutĀ the guy- it was for the victim. Daiki had been decent to Tohru after that first murder, heād given Tohru a protective charm or something- and yet, when heād died, Tohru hadnāt even left his room. He hadnāt done shit, other than point fingers and yell, while sitting on the ground like a useless brat.
In the end, that summed up a lot of just who he was- a brat. Heād always been one, really, heād never grown up from that twelve year old kid who went to arcades with his friend. He was still the same person, just coarser and more abrasive and ungrateful- and for the first time in a very long time, Tohru felt guiltyĀ over it.
There was no beating around the bush, heād been a piece of shit to everyone. Unlucky and undeserving- he was... not a good person. Not at all, really.
He sighed, picking up his 3DS as usual before his hands froze and he found that he couldnāt open it up. What was this changing? How was this any different? he was still stuck in his room doing nothing like this- still being ungrateful. Not changing anything.
Nothing would change like this.
It picked at the back of his neck and made his face pull into a frown, trying to shake off the nagging feeling that wouldnāt just leave him alone. It kept botheringĀ him and botheringĀ him- until it got to a point that he had to leave his room, no longer able to sit still.
Stupid guilt.
StupidĀ āvacationā.
Stupid trials.
All of it was stupid, and annoying. He wasnāt happy with this in the least- and yet, he still found himself out of his room of his own volition during the day, wandering down to the hotel lobby to sit.
As far as Tougou was concerned, sleep wasnāt real at this point. Muttering to himself as he walked-- or rather, he stumbled his way around. His balance wasnāt the greatest, and he frequently found himself leaning against walls to get around the hotel in the middle of the night as a distraction. Heād occasionally speak to the potted plants and mumble incoherent things, even staring at himself in the mirror for a lot longer than normal, only now taking note of the horrible bags forming under his eyes. His reflexes were shot and it took him more than a few seconds to take note of someone having bumped into him.
āHuh? No, I donāt have the... hmm...?ā He didnāt make much sense when actually talking to people either, fumbling and fidgeting. Heās not even fully aware of how bad he needs rest and how far gone he is to actually realize that.
The days seemed to tick by slowly, agonizingly slow: to be fair, nobody here had the mercy of being granted aĀ āusual concept of timeā at the moment with the lack of sleep, but Justin really was worried for those who werenāt used to pulling all-nighters like himself. How long could the human body even go without sleep? The poor students didnāt deserve this - but hopefully, his strong coffee would continue to assist them! Yes yes.
While waiting for the kettle to boil, placing his hand absent-mindedly on the side...perhaps heād lost track of time himself, as he jerked his hand away after a moment in pain. Ouch! Goodness, had the kettle boiled already? It hadnāt seemed that long already: but that was another negative of the loss of concept of time. He hadnāt even noticed it whistling, being as lost in thought as he had been.
He was aware of a student nearby - ah, was she concerned for his hurt hand? He was running it under the cold tap now, so he supposed it did look a little strange.
āIām quite alright, no need to worry. Just a bit of a hot and cold situation here, hm? ...Ah, perhaps that was a rather poor attempt at a pun...but youāre free to have some of my super-strong coffee yourself, if you need it.āĀ
