Reiner's sexuality. Considering the Christa-thing and the conversation with Ymir there is kinda room for discussion I'd say. what do you think?
          This is an excellent question, and Iâm so very glad that you asked it, as it really does need to be added to my head canons page.
          My Reiner muse, in particular, is bi-romantic and demi-sexual, with homo-sexual proclivities.
          Allow me to explain.
          Spoilers beneath the cut.
          According to the manga (and, additionally, a few moments in the anime), Reiner exhibits several instances of expressing attraction to Krista (i.e. internal dialogue stating things such as âIâm gonna marry herâ and âjust marry me already,â expressing gratitude when she bandages his leg, and, at one point, even bragging to Ymir about the special âbondâ he shares with Krista). Within another chapter, however, while sharing a private conversation with Ymir, when she teases him about potentially advancing upon her, he says something to the extent of, âI didnât think I looked like the type of guy whoâs interested in women.â Granted, this isnât by any means a confession. Reiner is aware that he fits a certain archetype, and he plays the role in order to avoid suspicion.
          Incidentally, I play him as bi-romantic (as opposed to hetero-romantic, aromantic, etc.). My Reiner muse could easily see himself in a romantic relationship with Krista because she is the perfect partner for fulfilling his masquerade (or, during his fugues, something he believes is his true identity) as a soldier. She is strong, beautiful, brave, and kind, and he believes that wooing a young woman like this is part of what it means to be a successful soldier. She is the ideal soldierâs wife, and it excites Reiner to imagine a life with her. She rewards his valiant deeds with her attention and, in many ways, she directly validates his soldier persona. In many respects, Krista makes Reiner feel normal and allows him to forget the atrocities he has committed against mankind. This does not apply, of course, to his warrior persona.Â
          As far as sexuality goes, my Reiner muse is demi-romantic â that is to say, he is sexually attracted to people with whom he shares close emotional ties. By that definition, Reiner has the potential to be sexually attracted to any of his compatriots in the 104th. His strongest emotional ties, however, are with Annie and Bertholdt â therefore, he is particularly attracted to both of them. My Reiner muse has homosexual leanings due to personal head canons â but this does not mean that my Reiner muse is not attracted to Annie or Krista. I should also stress that Reinerâs ambiguous statement in the manga does not mean that I believe Reiner is canonically homosexual (although I have seen strong arguments made in favor of this view).

[â] ~~Eren took a slow breath, his eyes glued to the ground and his lips dry. Fuck this, it wasn't his fault he was running away. Eren wasnât accepted. Parents didnât give two shits about him. Whatever, who cared, not his problem anymore. His only problem was he was walking down a forest trail, the closest town about five hours away, and most likely ten by walking. Another problem would be it was getting dark, and Eren already felt like his legs would give out. Heâd been walking for a couple hours and his body was already growing tired, er, either tired or beginning to panic at the thought of having to walk out here all night.
He really didnât want to do that.
Eyes lowered to his feet, though on the dirt road that he walked beside, he noticed some light beginning to shine, turning his head and spotting the car making its way down. Â Fuck yes. Maybe he could hitch a ride to the next town then be on his way! He stumbled closer to the road, jutting his arm out with his thumb up, walking slower before coming to a halt, hoping this person wasnât a complete douchebag and left him to walk.
