🍁 Hansse was the son of lyricist Jacques van Tol and dancer Jeanne Koopman and grew up in Amsterdam. Due to his father's controversial role in the war, Hans van Tol chose the stage name Tol Hansse. He studied trumpet and piano at the Amsterdam Conservatory and was a member of the rock band The Sharks. He also accompanied comedian Tom Manders (alias Dorus) on trumpet. Hansse achieved great fame with his 1978 singles "Big City" and "Achter de rhododendron," both from the album " Moet niet zeuren" (Don't Zeal). The song "Big City" spent twelve weeks in the National Hit Parade in 1978.

Vanwege de omstreden rol van zijn vader in de oorlog koos Hans van Tol voor de artiestennaam Tol Hansse. Hansse verwierf grote bekendheid met zijn singles Big City en Achter de rhododendron uit 1978, beide afkomstig van het album Moet niet zeuren. Het nummer Big City stond in 1978 twaalf weken genoteerd in de Nationale Hitparade.

y'all please don't buy from dutchstore, it's an online shop from a tumblr user and he sells items that you can get for around 1 dollar on ebay (cheap chinese products) for like 8 dollars in his shop, so there are most likely really bad working conditions for the manufacturers and almost all of the money goes to the dude who owns the shop instead of the people who actually produced the items
