tw: death, child death, murder

andy and cate have always been the couple you’d see fighting one minute and making out the next. they got on each other’s nerves, pushed each other’s buttons, and were two very different people - but there was always a connection between them and they never lacked a spark. they were high school ‘sweethearts’, constantly bickering and hot and heavy, but they ended up breaking up right before graduation. they did their own thing for awhile, but always came back to one another and when they found out cate was pregnant with their oldest right before college graduation, they married and settled down.

they went on to have five more kids, one being quite the surprise, and they did everything they could to give them the best life possible. they bickered, argued and loved deeply, and their kids were their everything. 

six months ago, their whole foundation was tested and started to crumble. the oldest of the twins, henry, was killed after being in the wrong place at the wrong time surrounded by the wrong people. their strong familial bond took a huge hit while grief and anger spread through them. andy and cate have been separated for a few months now and all of them are still (not) dealing with his death in their own ways. we’d love to have their kids around for all the angst and tears and family plotting!! we’ll most definitely have a family discord set up soon too, so we can discuss them all more there!

he is: hands stained with charocoal and india ink, leaving fingershaped marks on thresholds and bedframes; the sound of a skateboard scratching against the pavement at four in the morning; aimless evenings wasted in a diner near the river, where he is younger than the water stains on the ceiling; wads of cash stuffed in perfumed envelopes, left atop crystal nightstands; tight, practiced smiles that never reach eyes or ears; a pattern of bruises scattered across knuckles, cheeks, and collarbone; art museums abandoned by early mornings; fleeting moments of vulnerability, sewn up and carved out; pocket knives, stolen and collected; stale promises wrapped in false kisses; and ambition so thin it can be torn with teeth

he needs: everything!! give me your amazing plots pls. eddie is a trashcan set on fire. he has a short fuse and a mouth that gets him into trouble. a few people have socked him but he never learns. he can (and has) taken things way too far, but always regrets it after. like, throwing up and hystertically trembling after he knifed someone that one time? #thathappened but he could use his ride or die bff that’s been with him through everything. also artists (painters, photographers, musicians, etc.) who have a studio at the collective where he works sometimes and the woman who sells his forged paintings and he sleeps with for money, please. like the two best words to describe him would be ‘chaotic bisexual’ so people he’s hooked up or who think he’s an ex (esp closeted dudes) but eddie doesn’t really have exes because he doesn’t do relationships, ya dig? but i would love the one guy eddie is kind of falling for who has his shit together and it would never, ever work out because that shit is my jam.

first I have KIT MAGUIRE (21, ginny gardner) who.. for the most part... means well lmao. She’s Trying Her Best but her best isn’t much. Basically she’s the picture perfect millenial that is still trying to figure out this whole ~adulting thing, recently dropped out of college and oops! hasn’t told her family aaaand has never worked a Real Job. she needs ROOMMATES for the house she found on craigs list (she was the last to move in) and allllll the young twenties friends. also maybe a guy she’s been dating on and off foreverrrrrr but now they’re more off than on because she’s BORED.

then i have SAMANTHA NOLAN (23, faces are hard) who.. might actually end up being a boy bc I’m indecisive af and can’t decide on a face BUT they are Struggling with the fact that their twin just died and it’s just been emotionally and physically draining and basically they’re just going to be a Sad girl or boy idk.
