If she is the birthing parent of Weedslik, and not trans mother, would it make sense for her to be scared to spar Rainhaze who is a she-cat, but overpower her mate and his apprentice at the same time, and then take a leader's life like she's just gone shopping? If Rainhaze is trans it makes sense, but the rest doesn't.

AFAB would get out of the battle with two persons, one of whose is a cis tom (maybe the other one is too, I don't remember), gravely injured, if alive. AFAB people are naturally weaker and have slower reaction and less brain power in general, which is frankly also a deciding factor in battle. Either she's trans, or they are both AFAB, and the other Weedsilk's parent is surrogate. That way Hailwatcher's and Eldergleam's chances against each other could even out.

Having a cis female defeat a cis male in battle seems a bit like one of those girl power moves and it's gone stale and smells terfy lately, I'm not accusing you and believe you are an ally but it might come off that way ❤

anything i personally say in the authors comments or in asks is just me being myself. i was the silly one all along, its just my nature. just because this comic depicts the things i choose to depict in it doesnt really negate that im a silly idiot doing this as a fun hobby in my down time

but like if you need me to say it, shards behavior is not silly, it is abusive. shadowdusk probably shouldn't have let peartail take whirl and sable out by themself. peartail should have paid closer attention to the cats whose care they were charged with. shard should allow her clan to help her and she shouldnt be putting all peartails care onto the shoulders of her nephew

I just came across your art in the wild and read through the short story, and while it was very good at some points, seeing that portrayal did hurt me a bit. It’s not bad to write a story like that like I mentioned, it’s a real thing that happens! But without love for people who are b-spec it makes it hard to feel safe in the community, you know?

that's understandable, i am sorry for the hurt this last ministory caused you. truly. i dunno if this makes anyone feel better but hailwatcher is likely going to be the only instance of any mental illness or personality disorder that gets so extreme

and im sorry if this seems like a cop-out, i dont tend to like formally diagnosing these itty bitty pixel kitties unless my arm gets twisted. im hyperaware of how this section of internet tends to be (and i dont mean that as an inherent negative) and i find it easier to allow the reader to interpret a characters deal without word of god saying dumbledore is gay if that makes sense?

id like to think the vast majority of the characters in the comic at large who show symptoms of mental illness or personality disorders or neurodivergence are depicted respectfully and/or sympathetically. the weedsilk ministory isnt indictive of the main story in this regard i promise
