Send ✗ for my muses reaction to being grabbed by the front of their shirt/collar and kissed hard on the mouth
Trade with the Blue Mountains was key to life in Lindon. They provided silver ore that was necessary for many of their own crafting but the Elves were able to trade in pearls and coral. However, sometimes their trade dates coincided with festivals and celebrations.
Círdan thought his own people knew how to celebrate but this was one of the few times that he had been so privileged as to see the dwarves in their unadulterated merriment. It was truly a sight to behold and already he had seen several of his mariners double over tables as they made the foolhardy effort to keep up with the drinking going on around them.
It was the Lady Dís that had been keeping him company throughout the evening. He had always been impressed by her ability to command her people -- even her own kin that might be more resistant to exchanges with Elves.
What he had not expected was for her to slam her tankard down on the stone table between them or to use it as leverage to compensate for their drastic height difference. When they were eye level with one another, he found himself grabbed and met with an ale tinted kiss.
He had to admit, he had never kissed another with a beard and he was prompted to laugh at the brush of whiskers against whiskers. Even with his laughter, she did not relent and he was mindful of how and where he placed his hands to coax her to ease back even as he tried to lean away.
“My fair lady, I dare say your beard is stronger than mine,” he laughed.
