Chicago: What do you ache for?

I ache for a place to call home, where I can be who I am, without having to ‘play nice’ to keep the peace. I ache for freedom and honesty and love, ache to be able to tell people I am queer and not be afraid that they’ll throw me aside. I ache for a higher purpose or greater goal that I am willing to commit myself wholly to. 

Mumbai: What is your favorite scent

I got a bottle of fabric spray when I was in Seoul from Granhand called Judith Blacklock and I love it to bits; it makes me smile every time I spritz it. I’ll defo get more bottles the next time I go to Seoul! 

I am also very fond of the smell of freshly cooked plain rice; the warm richness of something frying (like a perfect sunny-side up egg); my mom’s chocolate cookies; and the smell that permeates my mom’s room after she’s done putting on her lotions and potions and things. :)

35. What’s the funniest dream you’ve ever had?17. If you had to lose one of the 5 senses, which would you choose and why?

Hmm… Sight. Because I know I can live without it. Smell and taste at kind of connected, so if I lost my ability to smell I would loose a lot of my ability to taste, and then eating wouldn’t be enjoyable. I’m not sure what I would do without the ability to hear or touch so those are out of the question. I survived being blind before so I can do it again

27. Do you believe one can fall out of love?

Yeah. I mean love is subject to change. Sometimes you love someone and you see all their “quirks” and think they are cute, but as time passes maybe you realize that you dont think those quirks are cute anymore and that they are annoying. Or whatever it is. I think love can change all the time.

35. What’s the funniest dream you’ve ever had?

Um… you know most of my dreams are nightmare-ish so this is hard? I can’t really think of super funny dreams, but I guess this is close as the biggest “wtf dream”

One time I had a dream where it was halloween time and everyone was buying these t-shirts that had little skeletons on them and then lolipops in the shape of those skeletons attached on top. And literally everyone was buying these. from 3 year olds to their grandparents. And whenever someone was feeling hungry, they could just pull off a lollipop from their shirt and eat it. and they when you ran out you could buy a new shirt ??? anyway everyone wanted these shirts but then one day it turned out that these lollipop could come to life and then they grew in size and started trying to eat people ?? and one of my friends, cesar, was like “nah everything is fine don’t worry about it” and just continued to eat these lollipops that were now alive and oh man it was just weird.
