You can eat these steamed dumplings as an appetizer or as a snack. They are tasty and salty. They are filled with ground pork, Napa cabbage, and fragrant seasonings that make them taste great. They are light and healthy because they are steamed.
Ingredients: 1 cup ground pork. 1/2 cup finely chopped Napa cabbage. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 green onions, chopped. 1 tablespoon soy sauce. 1 teaspoon sesame oil. 1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1 package round dumpling wrappers. Water for sealing dumplings.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, Napa cabbage, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, salt, and black pepper. Mix well. Place a small amount of filling in the center of a dumpling wrapper. Dip your finger in water and wet the edges of the wrapper to help seal it. Fold the wrapper in half to create a half-moon shape, and press the edges to seal the dumpling. You can crimp the edges for a decorative look if desired. Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling. Place the dumplings in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking. Steam the dumplings over boiling water for about 15-20 minutes, or until the wrappers become translucent and the filling is cooked through. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
