thanks for asking :) π»I typed out half my answers earlier and then tumblr ate them so hopefully it goes better this time.
5. what's your favourite piece of furniture and where did you get it?
I'm a basic bitch. my favourite piece of furniture is my bed and it's from ikea, like most of the furniture in my house. I tested every mattress before moving, ordered it to the new house, and then it wouldn't fit up the stairs when it arrived. thankfully I wasn't there and just had to deal with secondhand drama.
15. do you collect anything?
there's a semi-joke about how collecting craft supplies and using them are two separate hobbies. I kinda hate that but it's true. I have lots of yarn and lots of general crafty bits. I like having things to hand and I don't want to get rid of them.
I do like buying little di-dis. little yokemebobs. little thingamagigs. I don't need a clay pig or a paperclip in the shape of a bird but I like them so I have them.
16. how long have you known your oldest friend?
like everything, there's more than one answer to this. I've known my partner for fourteen years. but I knew my childhood best friends for like sixteen or seventeen years before we drifted apart. people say you can pick back up but we bumped into each other in the supermarket once. her mam stopped to talk to me and it was painful. like we may as well have been strangers after a decade apart. it's my fault for pushing people away when I'm super depressed. it'll hit us being strangers longer than we were friends at some point without anyone realising.
I think you and I might be coming up the best part of a decade now and that definitely deserves a shout out :p eight years, maybe?
23. what's the coolest place you've visited?
Tokyo, probably? which feels pretty cliche. Id go back in a heartbeat if I could afford it and could manage the travel and the holiday.
my unexpected answer is probably the old church near my granny's house. I went for a walk and ended up there a couple of years ago. I knew my great grandparents were buried nearby so I went to see if I could find their headstone. I couldn't but wandered around reading plaques and the like, trying to figure out what bit of a ruin matched what bit of the drawing. I don't think much of what I saw was 13-15th century original but it was still cool and old. it was one of those places I've passed by hundreds of times but never knew the history or appreciated it.
