I just had this throw down with a dude on discord (I told someone who asked how to kill balthazar easily and efficiently as a beginner), who told me that my way to beat balthazar - yeet him into the shadowfell and stay away from the edges lest you get yeeted yourself - is stupid and that people should just kill him earlier in his little room instead of in the shadowfell. (Preferably by giving him a sussur flower first).
I told him that yes, while that may be easier - I haven't tried - it's not helpful advice for beginners because they don't have the foresight.
(And I know that advice is shit, because I was in that exact situation and no website or reddit post could help me cause they all said the same shit about the damn sussur flower or some stupid scrolls that I didn't bring.)
And, like, why would I immediately kill Balthazar when I don't know how shitty his fight will be later on? Why would I bother to carry a sussur flower when all it does is seemingly cancel out all magic - especially since I don't even know balthazar exists when find it?
He said that Google had all the answers.
Ma dude. Why would anyone Google a character they haven't met. Are there people who's hobby it is to go "Okay google - bg3 James. Bg3 Kevin. Bg3 Maria. Bg3 Jesus. Bg3 Donovan. Bg3 Beelzebub. Bg3 Greyson" until one of those leads to results? Stupid.
His way may be super easy and good, I'm not saying it isn't. But it's not helping you if you're in that fight right now and don't want to reload a save from three weeks ago just to do that. But that's just not getting into this dumbarses thick head.
