Thursday is baking day!! I parvefied my grandma’s peanut butter cookie recipe. They are heavenly fresh out of the oven with a glass of super-cold milk, but they’ll be good for Seudah Shlishit too (:
I’ve also figured out what’s going on with my challah lately. It keeps collapsing — I thought it was the flour, but I changed the flour and had the same problem again to a lesser extent. So now I think it’s actually the yeast. I’ve been following the package directions, which tell me to put in an insane amount of yeast, probably twice as much as I should be using, so the dough is rising way too quickly. Lesson learned; next week’s will be better.
