As far as I'm aware, there's been an art trend going around where artists are drawing Backrooms but in the style of different eras of art in history (caveman paintings, Greek vases, Picasso's works, etcetera... my favorite has been an artwork of the Backrooms with the short story The Yellow Wallpaper!!!!) and it seems the trend has spread into fandom spaces too (if you sift thru my recent favs you can see a Parkour Civilization one)
it's such a fascinating trend and probably my favorite trend ever right next to the [AS] one from the early 2020s <33333333
in the context of Doors I think it makes so much sense, especially with the way I envision the Hotel... it looks man-made but not in a way man would, rooms and doors and windows placed similar to reality's structures but they're not quite right. Juuuust like a certain yellow carpeted endless place......
