The Box has been Delivered!

We've received a notification saying the box was safely delivered to the address! We want to thank all of those who participated in this birthday wishing idea. Whether you reblogged the posts letting fans know, sent in a birthday wish by submission over tumblr or sent a handwritten birthday card or letter by mail, you guys are all fantastic and we couldn’t have done it without you! A special thank you to our amazing duckling, Mary, who volunteered to gather all the letters and sent the box off! Now, we wait and see if it reaches Robert’s hands and what he might have to say in return. If we never hear anything back and you did write something, just remember your written words to him are much closer to Robert than you ever thought was possible and that’s something to smile and be thankful for. Again, a big thank you to all the lovely ducklings who helped with this (you know who you are!) and all the amazing fans who wrote a little something - you guys showed how wonderful his fanbase can be!

Hey RDJ fans!

Robert’s 50th birthday is coming up fast and we’ve only received a couple of letters so far. We would like to remind you that our deadline is Monday MARCH 23RD, in order to allow us enough time to check the letters and send the package over to RDJ by April 4th. As we’ve stated before, we’d like to get at least 50 handwritten birthday messages for the project to be something special, so we hope some letters are going to come in soon!

Yes, exactly like that, but please don't seal the inside envelope so we can easily proofread the letters =]

The reason behind screening the letters is because as a celebrity anything sent to him will be proofread before it lands in his hands. We would prefer doing our own screening before in case there is something in there that is deemed inappropriate we’ll be able to remove it. Otherwise, if they find just one thing, the whole box of letters may not be given to him which is not what we want.

Don’t seal the envelope to Downey. Just fold in the tab into the envelope so it can easily be opened and quickly scanned through. Or use a sticker to easily close it. We can then seal it properly afterwards but since it’s all going into one sealed box, the letters don’t necessarily need to be sealed completely.

As long as your fanart and letter are found in one envelope addressed to us then we are happy. You can put your fanart in a folder and letter in a envelope and then put both in one bigger envelope and then place that one envelope into another envelope addressed to us. Which ever way you wish to do it, we would like to receive a single envelope from you. I hope that clears it up for you.
