@likeshootingstarsinthenightsky this has definitely been one of my favorite conversations with you and honestly i could write about this all day

REQUEST HERE / RULES

his smile is one of my favorite things I can’t get over it

so let’s get this out of the way

he’d be the softest fucking dad in the world - doesn’t matter if the little peanut is adopted or natural

adoption is always an option - remember that kids

you can tell he’s really good with kids, so when the little one came into your life, you knew he’d be in his element

the instant he wakes up, he’s got your little one attached to him easily

baby wakes up crying in the middle of the night? 

he’s got it taken care of

that baby is almost always in his arms when they aren’t in yours, or in the baby carrier

he’s very protective so he feels like if they aren’t directly with him that something might happen

you tried your best to tell him that its fine, but honestly the image of a tiny baby in his arms is too flipping cute to resist

so, the image of him carrying your little baby becomes a regular thing in your house

but the thing that melts your heart the most?

he is constantly talking to the baby, both in english and french

he talks to them like they can actually understand him, almost like they are having a real conversation

one morning you walk to the nursery to hear him talking to the baby as he’s getting them ready for the day

“We are going to have such a good day today little one. We’ll have food, we’ll watch some movies, we’ll do some tummy time...” 

he just rambles on about what their plans are and everything, like its normal

and the baby just babbles along happily, with their soft dad responding to them

as he’s getting them dressed they let out a little whimper

“Oh you don’t like this one? What about this one” and he holds up another onesie that gets a happy babble

“We are going to look so good today little one...I think its breakfast time!” you hear him

and you know he’s just got the biggest smile on his face

you watch as the two of them go about the kitchen, the baby in the baby carrier on his chest so Pierre would have his hands free

“Do you think that they would like waffles or eggs?”

“*happy baby babbles*”

“You’re right, both is good. Lots of syrup too”

you finally walk in and make your presence known, and he just turns around with a smile

“There they are! Finally awake! Time for morning kisses?”

“*more happy baby babbles*”

“That’s what I was thinking” and he leans in to give you a morning kiss “They are the best, right after you of course. And they do deserve kisses all the time”

and he leans down to press a soft kiss on the baby’s head too

 the baby lets out one lil happy squeal and he’s like “Do you want another kiss too?”

and he just lets you take the little one from him to give them a kiss before they are once again asking to go back to him

ugh god its so soft

later one he’s holding them in his lap and they are watching some cartoon movie thats appropriate for babies and the two of them are just chattering away

the baby is making all sorts of noises and he’s like “That’s exactly what I was thinking. The characters are so one dimensional. Where’s the EMOTION” like he’s doing a review of the show

sometimes he brings them into your room while you’re both getting ready for the day and he asks their opinion on what tie he should wear

“Should I go with the blue or the red tie?”

“*babbles*”

“You’re right, blue matches the suit better...”

the two of them pretend you’re a model and when you walk out he’s like “WOW AREN’T THEY AMAZING” 

and the little one just lets out the cutest little giggles and smiles

when he’s putting them to bed you can hear him just rambling in french about how much he loves them and how he’s always going to protect them

every now and again you catch him humming an old lullaby that he remembered from when he was a kid

and its just the softest thing in the world

that kid will grow up to know both english and french thanks to their soft dad

but will also never forget just how soft he is for them, and just how much he loves them

that’s an absolute promise
