Here’s one that will thrill all true #amplifier aficionados: an incredibly rare 1947 #Fender #DualProfessional, belonging to @terry_foster. This was Fender’s very first “#tweed” amp and if you find one )and can afford it!) buy it because they are insanely rare. From Terry’s book “Fender: The Golden Age”: “In early 1947, Fender introduced a new style of amplifier to sit at the top of the range. The rustic charm of the wooden cabinets gave way to a smarter, more refined-looking unit that featured a 16 watt amplifier and two 10” speakers housed in an elegant cabinet covered in an off-white luggage linen tweed, with a dark brown mohair grill cloth. The front panel was angled so the speakers faced slightly outwards, giving a greater spread of sound. A chromed metal strip that ran down the center section completed the look.
