So it was finally over. Or at least that was the last they would be seeing of those birds. One finally managed to snag the food away from the other and took off. However the other bird did not follow. Instead, it returned to pecking and hunting on the beach sand to look for another scrap.

Satoru hoped the same would not happen to him and his currently unassailable conversation partner. She seemed likely to run off, leaving him looking for other scraps of discussion. Speaking to someone who only said a few words back was better then nothing. He would be left to the birds in that case.

.:[ ★ ☆ ]:. Even if she didn’t always say it -- since, you know, didn’t want to be mushy and all -- Amethyst treasured the family she had. It may have been small, but it was hers, and that mattered. Home sure meant a lot to someone who didn’t -- never heard of a thing before.

Anyway, with Steven, Pearl, and Rose (Rose!) in this city, the Crystal Gems were almost complete!

...Well, almost. There was still one member missing. A very critical part of the team! The person who loved her hilarious jokes and showed her what fusion was -- and what it could be.

But that’s just her backstory to this whole song and dance. What was happening now involved a pizza and her big purple face. She’d been saving this baby for a matter of minutes, and just as she was about to take a bite...

It was her. It was her. She completely lost her grip, dropping the pizza box onto the ground. Losing a pizza, but winning a friend... let it never be said her priorities weren’t in order.
