The past few days were turbulent; with the two boys who were busy with the provisional license exams and the operation that was aired on national television. Things were seemingly normal; the day-to-day grind of being a student and working toward their futures. Of course, there was some concern and worry circulating around their classmates about how the operation ended - Mirio with his quirk, Nighteye’s passing, the recovery of Eri, and the ongoing hunt for those part of the League of Villains. Some took it better than others.
Ochaco had noticeably become rather relaxed. Quieter compared to her bubbly and chatty persona that they all knew well. She stared at her open palms, clenching them shut and opening them in tandem. Tsuyu - her best friend - knew how troubled she was, but the kindred girl figured it just took time to adjust. Someone practically died in the teen’s arms. Maybe it was preventable; if only she could... “Uraraka.”
Her eyes shot up from her hands, up to the boy who stood a pace or so from where she rested her body. Her vision adjusted to the twilight that filtered through the trees, the soft laughter and chatter of their classmates retreating to the dorms for the evening. The line of his form facing her; his face as stoic as ever - but it felt like he was seeing through her. She squeezed her hands shut and grinned, weakly. Her heart twisted, knowing she couldn’t keep it up forever, but like hell wasn’t she going to try. Her voice wavered, but she tried to keep her cheerful mask on.
“Todoroki-kun! Hey! What’s up?”
