FK - Shades Of Nostalgia

A rare Trip-hop gem that I found on the B-side to Nujabes DTFN single. This track by japanese producer FK or Fela Kuti is a nice chilled beat with a smooth baseline and reverb soaked vocal cuts a perfect late night track.

Although this artist has released fairly little, this is a track that definetly cannot go un-noticed. If you like your Nujabes then you will certainly like this, Nujabes liked it enough to put it on his single.

Post 99: Countdown to a hundred!

It's been too long since I've done and posted a mashup. So without further ado, I present to you:

|D.T.F.N.| by <Cise Star> and <Nujabes>

There's one thing you should take note of though - |D.T.F.N.| was originally produced by <Nujabes>. So you might ask: why create a mashup between the two (same) artists? Well to put it simply, I've always wanted to mix/mashup a <Cise Star> track as well as a <Nujabes> one, so I thought: why the hell not (adding to that, D.T.F.N. has got to be one of my favorite tracks from both artists). 

Going slightly off topic; a couple of people have requested me to upload download links for the mashups I posted. In response to that, I say: soon. The reason behind that is because I plan to compile an album (available for free of course) once I have a reasonable number of tracks (say...10-12?) along with album art and such (since a friend has offered to make one for me, mad props for that). Though realistically speaking, it's still some time away before any of that happens. In any case, I hope you enjoy this new mashup I created and feel free to comment on it.

Music post of the day

Yesh, another day, another track:

|Shine a Light Pt.2| by <Robert de Boron> ft. <Awa> and <Oldwun>

Not going to say too much about this track, I mean after all, music speaks for itself and hey, this one's no exception. Though I have to say, I absolutely love the music <Robert de Boron> produces and it's been awhile since I've heard a track from him. Hence, this track is filled with both nostalgia and "freshness"...for me at least. At any rate, enjoy this beautiful track and have a good day.
