DSTRCT has always been passionate about music, thanks to his older sister who exposed him to rock music from bands like Nirvana, No Doubt, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, The Doors, and Janis Joplin. He started writing and recording music in middle school, and continued to hone his craft in college before leaving to pursue music full-time.
