Okay folks, I'm loading my DSpico with a few games I want to have on-demand on my DS lite I keep in my pocket, and a few that I generally want to be able to swap between systems as I please (without being tied to my DSi's SD card). Here's what I've got so far, hit me with any recommendations you have!
My DSpico came today!
It's really nice in the hand, nicer than I expected it to be! The build quality on it is great, it's super easy to set up (either using their GitHub to compile it yourself, the precompiled package from flashcarts.net, or just running whatever the manufacturer put on it before shipping), and runs great! It boots up fine on both my DS and my DSi, plays and saves fine, and it loads a lot faster than nds-bootstrap, albeit without any of the extra features that gives you. I already tested hotswapping it between my DS and my DSi, and it's exactly what I wanted! Ironically though, I dislike when flashcarts auto-boot on a DS and bypass the system menu, which I'm glad this doesn't do on the DS, however it does do this on the DSi due to the exploit it uses to boot on unmodded systems. You can just pop it out, start the system, and pop it in no problem, just funny that my problem has swapped from one console to the other. No big deal either way, it's a great flashcart and I'm looking forward to using it regularly. If anybody knows where I can find any user-made skins for it, lemme know!
