Final Brief
For my pattern I would like to explore into my Norwegian background to create an abstracted design that portrays my personality and my culture. As I have grown up in New Zealand and my grandparents were from Norway I would like to blend aspects of the two cultures together. I will explore the beliefs and patterns associated with Norway and discover what New Zealand has in common with these. This will make it easier for me to represent the two cultures together, as well as intertwining them. Examples of these include traditional clothing, landscapes, patterns and heritage. The second thing I would like to reveal through my design is how my Norwegian Heritage has slowly diminished as the generations have progressed. I will do this through a drastic change in colour or size during my animation. I will also express my own personality through the design and the way that my pattern will move around the stage.
My Final Storyboard.
1. My movie starts off with Auckland city on top until it rotates to the right downwards and Wellington then rotates from the left upwards.
2. From here Wellington city then rotates towards the middle until it forms a little circle.
3.When its turned into a circle it then keeps rotating and expanding at the same time untill both the Auckland and Wellington citys have appeared as a border on the circle.
4.Now that its shown the citys, it will then rotate smaller until it turns into a little circle again.
5.From here the circle will expand to form a flower.
6. Now that its turned into a flower four other little flowers will fade in.
7. From here the four little flowers will move towards the center flower.
8. While the four little flowers are moving in, a circle will expand from the center of the flower.
9. From here the flowers will separate and be placed in between the two circles and at the same time frame four will fade in.
10. Now the inner circle will shrink into a small circle.
11. Now that the circles appeared, it will then expand and turn into a palm tree.
12. From here the pattern will rotate slowly.
13. As it rotates slowly, the weaving pattern will fade in behind the palm trees.
14. Now that the main pattern is complete it will then expand to give a better view of the inside section of my pattern..
15. From there it will then shrink again to its normal size and its weaving pattern will appear in the background.. The End=]
