Artist statement
My topic of this animation is identity and future direction. I created a young boy as character and used his dream to explain my topic. The story has been divided into three parts. In the first part, the young boy walked into the animation and his tired. Second part is the most important, he fall asleep and dreamed his future. For this part, I drew four different types of teenagers as his future direction. He dreamed what he wants to be in the future. Last part was make for the loop, I made the young boy got up so the loop animation can be continue playing.
My animation is involved in approximately two principles, transition and solid drawing. For the transition between every parts, I used rotation to transit from part to part, slow in and slow out in the second part to transit from character to character. All the images were drew in AI first and put into AE to animate it. My target audience is children around 12 years old because I think twelve is the age that children might get confused about themselves the first time in the life. I aim to encourage them to find their future direction.

Principles and artist statement
Artist statement
My video is about identity and future direction. I drew a boy dream his future. I use simplistic elements of color to show pure inside child’s heart. The important part of my video is the changing of different character in the little boy’s dream. I use special effects to present it.
Principles
The speed in my video is slow in the first part and quicker in the boys dream because I wants to show a large amount of content in a child’s dream.
The impression in my video is light blue and I use black to draw lines to show the comparison.
