What is this AU about?

I'm glad you asked!

*ahem*

This AU is based off of Dreamswap (created by Onebizarekai) and the tabletop rpg Dungeons and Dragons, mashing them both together in a homebrew style world that takes inspirations from both and became its own thing!

Each of the characters have their own backstories and lives, completely separate from the characters they were based off of! Obviously we still have the three main groups with the JR trio, Meme Squad, and Creepypasta Squad (I swear I’ll make up new names for them eventually), but they all have their own intersecting storylines and relationships!

Some of them have died and come back, others want to kill each other for various reasons, and all of them need therapy.

Sounds cool and mysterious, doesn't it? I want most of the story to be fleshed out via asks so this synopsis is vague on purpose.

Emryn Von Rue:

Aasmire

Emryn is the designated leader and healer for the Justice Reigns group, being stern but kind and the oldest. His left arm is a prosthetic due to an incident that also left burn scars over large portions of his body. His weapon of choice is a palintonos bow, though he carries around a long sword just in case he needs to get in close range.

Kyren Crudel:

Fighter

They/Them - Nonbinary

Half Wood-Elf

Kyren traveled around a lot for their work as a mercenary, which gives them an advantage when it comes to navigation, and while they tend to lean on the aloof and stubborn side, they do care a great deal about their companions even when they don’t always show it. They joined Emryn after an assination attempt on the man went wrong, and have worked together ever since. Their weapon of choice is a glaive, though they can fight with their hands or a hand axe if needed.

Air Genasi

Acting mostly as the group's scout, Torin is mature and reliable, mostly going with the flow since his brush with death prior to landing in the material plane. He enjoys tinkering with machinery, and even made his prosthetic eye, and helps repair Emryn’s arm when needed. He typically fights with a battle axe, though he has a pistol on him just in case, being the only character to wield, and know how to wield a gun.

Changing (Takes the form of a High Elf)

Cyrus is a bard from an unknown land, who tends to lean into the more flamboyant and theatrical side of things. Not much is known about the musician, and he isn’t part of any group, but he does tend to stick around the Justice Reigns fairly often. He avoids fighting whenever possible, but does carry a dagger in case things get out of hand.

A rogue on the go, Noctis is stubborn and rebellious, but that doesn’t stop him from making sure his teammates are okay. Noctis has quite the history with Emryn, and enjoys spicy food, but has a distaste for fire despite having a high resistance to it. He typically fights with a quarterstaff, but has a dagger on him too.

Wood Elf

Erakis is the local brain cell for the Meme Squad, being extremely perceptive, even if he’s a bit pessimistic at times. Erakis doesn’t remember much of his past, or where the blue markings on his face came from, but knows he learned material arts from somewhere, and while he typically prefers to keep to his magic, he’s not afraid to throw a punch if he has too.

Orc

Corbett is the heavy hitter of the Meme squad, and a bit of a kleptomaniac, a barbarian whose home has long since been destroyed. While he can be impulsive at the best of times, he still holds onto the moral codes he grew up with, and cares a lot for his teammates, even being the one who does most of the cooking. He typically fights with a greatsword, though does have a spare hand axe on hand.

Ronan Darcelle:

Half-Orc

Ronan is a mostly retired gentle giant of an adventurer who now prefers to run his tavern in peace, if only he were to be left alone that is. He’s the adoptive parent of Corwin and Rukko, and has an odd, if a bit strained relationship with Emryn. While he doesn’t like to fight, preferring to settle matters peacefully, Ronan does still have his trusty greataxe if push comes to shove.

Tiefling

While he mostly keeps to himself nowadays, Corwin has brushed his shoulders with the criminal underworld with his work as a smuggler after he got kicked out from the bard college of Eloquence. While flamboyant and cheeky at the best of times, Corwin is very observant, and a self taught artificer. He typically stays out of fights, but can use potions or even bombs if he has too.

Light-Footed Halfling

The youngest in the entire cast, Rukko is rebellious and loud at the best of times, not helped by their idolization of Noctis. They enjoy theater, and often get themselves into trouble at the best and worst of times. While they typically will defend themselves with a dagger they found, they also have a shovel and aren’t afraid to use it.

Kender

Jasiri was an adventurer with a wild spirit, impulsive and reckless; they met Emryn by chance and never really left, typically fighting with a warhammer whenever she was forced into conflict. While their relationship with Emryn is up to interpretation, they eventually settled down for a short while before Jasiri’s eventual death.

Zemira grew up under the ocean with her twin sibling Malik, being very close as they grew up, but becoming distant over time. After an incident that caused Malik to become cursed, Zemira left the ruins of her home to chase after them, gaining two companions along the way, and fighting with a spear whenever conflict arises.

Malik grew up with Zemira deep under the ocean, the two having been close as children, but growing distant as Malik began getting bullied. Over time, Malik grew resentful of their twin sister, and dabbled in dark forces that led to them being cursed, and all their negativity and hate forming into a new being that took over their body until it got its own.

Morana was created from a dark spell as the embodiment of all of Malik’s hatred and negativity, initially believing she was Malik until realizing she wasn’t. This led to her dabbling in various kinds of magic in order to create her own body, while making an identity for herself outside of Malik.

While they prefer to keep their past a secret, a deal they made for freedom often comes back to bite them.

Finnick, while never planning to travel, refused to just not help a person in need, and joined Zemira on her quest not long after Kaito. She’s typically energetic, and joyful, always doing her best to keep morale high, despite the stress Zemira is clearly under, and the complete oddity that is Kaito.

Tielfing

Elowin is a bard who left her home in search of something new, and eventually met Danika because of it. While initially traveling with Danika’s family and friends, the two eventually set off on their own. Since then Elowin and Danika have traveled together, using their skills to bring in a bigger audience.

Danika was formerly part of a traveling circus, and performed as an aerialist for most of her youth and young adolescents. She ran into Elowin by chance, and brought them back, where they joined for a short while before the two left to build something of their own.

Specify who the ask is for. Do not ask "what is your favorite color". It does not specify who you are asking? instead, ask "To [character]: what is your favorite color". That tells me who to answer with. You may ask multiple characters the same question.
